Call for Proposals 2019

The Peter and Traudl Engelhorn Foundation for the Advancement of Life Sciences invites outstanding junior scientists to apply for postdoctoral fellowships in the field of life sciences.

Granting institution: Peter und Traudl Engelhorn Stiftung zur Förderung der Lebenswissenschaften
Duration: 2 years
Area of research: Life Sciences
Amount of fellowship: In Germany according to TVÖD E13; in Austria and Switzerland according to the amounts awarded by the Fonds zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung and the Schweizer Nationalfonds, respectively
Qualifications: Studies of natural sciences, pharmacy or medicine with superior results
Age limit: 34 years
Execution of the project at a renowned research institution in Germany, Austria or Switzerland
Application deadline: July15 for a fellowship starting in the next year
Application format: An electronic version per email and a printed version by surface mail to Contact (see below)

Required documents:

  • Language:German or English
  • Letter of motivation (max. 1 page)
  • Description of the research project(around 5 pages plus list of references)
  • Curriculum Vitae plus current photo of the applicant
  • Certificates (Bachelor, Master Diploma, PhD, MD)
  • Letters of recommendation from at least 2 renowned scientists
  • Letter of acceptance of the host institution
  • Acceptance of the Guidelines of the Foundation

Selection process:
The foundation decides at its own discretion. There is no recourse to legal action.
