We are searching for international PhD candidates for an H2020 MSC ITN. The positions will be funded via the private-sector partner of our Christian Doppler Lab. The students will complete their PhD at the Medical University of Vienna in close collaboration with industry and a European consortium.

We are specifically interested in candidates from the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology and medicine who are interested to

• investigate the role of the microbiome in peritoneal dialysis (omics technologies - proteomics, metabolomics; translation from animal models to clinical samples) (ESR position 11)
• investigate the mechanism of GSK3-beta inhibition in peritoneal dialysis models and its effect on endothelial cells and cardiovascular risk (ESR position 12)
