The FEBS News issue introduces our big event of 2017, and features a few of the outstanding researchers lined up as speakers. Develop new, innovative, cross-border and cross-sectorial industrial value chains in the bio-based economy SuperBIO is an innovation project funded by the H2020 call Cluster facilitated projects for new value chains (Innosup 2015-1) managed by EASME (Executive Agency for SMEs). The call aimed for projects with a concrete strategic vision to build new industrial value chains by integrating and supporting groups of SMEs in collaboration with other innovation actors. SuperBIO is committed to build new, innovative, cross border and cross sectorial value chains in the biobased economy. SuperBIO value chains consist of at least three cross-sectorial stakeholders from at least 2 EU member states or H2020 associated countries that are needed to make the innovation in the bioeconomy happen. This typically includes at least a biomass supplier, a converter and an end-user. ERA-Net E-RARE-3 Call 2017 Im Rahmen des Forschungsförderungsnetzwerks ERA-Net E-RARE-3 wurde eine weitere Ausschreibung  veröffentlicht. Der Aufruf richtet sich an alle ForscherInnen, die auf dem Gebiet der seltenen Erkrankungen arbeiten. Ziel ist dabei die Förderung neuer grenzüberschreitender Kooperationen. Jeder Antrag muss von mindestens 3, maximal 6 Forschungsgruppen aus mindestens 3 verschiedenen teilnehmenden E-RARE-Partnerländern getragen werden, wobei ein gemeinsames Dokument von der/dem ProjektkoordinatorIn beim zentralen Call-Sekretariat einzureichen ist. Deadline für Einreichungen (pre-proposal) ist der 1.
